Barry "Sandalfoot" shaw has been writing songs since 1973.  The first public performance of one of his songs is probably in 1977, which is a song about the School matron at a parents' evening (still sung today!)

The first proper performance was at Aylesbury Folk club in April 1987, and now after performing regularly at Framptons in Nottingham, his songs can be heard at numerous pubs and folk clubs in the Nottingham Area.

Barry has a Roland EP7 keyboard which can be taken anywhere - all that is needed is electricity

Influences are too numerous to mention - people come up to me after playing and say "You sound like..." or "Do you like..."  I can understand some names on this list, others are quite bizarre...
