Barry Shaw's songs date back to 1973, and have been
performed as a solo artist since 1987. Sandalfoot today perform as a
threesome, and have a unique cross-genre sound that is difficult to categorise.
Baz also turns up to random open mikes as a solo artist.
In the 21st Century, I believe people are tired of corporate interests telling
them what they should and should not listen to. Music has been boxed into
compartments so small they have become prison cells, and completely meaningless.
Sandalfoot's time has come. It is here. It is now.
Influences are too numerous to mention - people come up to me after playing and
say "You sound like..." or "Do you like..." I can understand some names on
the list, others are quite bizarre...
Andrew Lloyd Webber, Chris de Burgh, Rat Scabies,
Genesis, Pink Floyd, Billy Bragg, John Otway, Supertramp, the Incredible String
Band, Phil Collins, Freddie Mercury / Queen, Nick
Drake...
